- The economic stimulus bill signed
by President Obama includes $4 billion for state and local law
enforcement programs. Including $2 billion for the Byrne Justice
Assistance Grant program.
Byrne JAG
funds the people who fight crime: drug task force officers, police
investigators, prosecutors, crime and forensic analysts, public
defenders, victims’ services counselors, among others.
