Articles & NewsPRESS RELEASE For Immediate Release 2/3/2009 Atlanta, GA Joyfields Institute Runs First Free Webinar on Second Chance Act Grants On Tuesday February 3rd, Joyfields Institute ran its first webinar titles "US Second Chance Act and Grants: Program Administration and Facts You Should Know". The webinar led by Dr. Gary Dennis of the US Dept of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance was moderated by Joyfields Institute president, Sobem Nwoko. Calling is a program needed for some time now, Mr. Nwoko commended Dr. Dennis and the Bureau of Justice Assistance for sponsoring the webinar. It was attended by over 300 participants representing prisons, jails, community corrections, probations and parole, labor, housing and health care and others with an interest offender reform and re-integration. Participants called the program, "... extremely easy to access and convenient. I came away with a great of information presented orally and in handouts. All without leaving my office!" Still others were very pleased with having their questions answered by the program officer, saying "...All my question got answered that I emailed in ahead of the program and I was able to get questions answered on the spot during the webinar."
