Greetings,
How Much Should
I Tell My People?
An executive
concern for many bosses is the question, "how much
do my people need to know?" Unfortunately, many
bosses choose to withhold information.
Here's what I think. If you want results from
people, you have to let them know the facts. The
what, when, why and how's of a situation. When
people don't know the information, they fill in the
blanks. This is how rumors and gossiping start.
Good bosses keep their people informed and they do
it promptly. It is crucial to getting results and
keeping a satisfied and committed team.
The question should be -- "What is the best way to
get this information to the folks quickly and
accurately for best results?"
@@ Speaking
of keeping people informed, Joyfields needs your
help. Recently, we have wondered about 2 things.
1. Is "Jolt!"
useful to you? How do you feel about its current
format? What do you suggest we change? Ok, thats
3 q's in 1.
2. Is
Monday morning the best day to get it to you?
What day would you prefer (2 q's in 1)
Just hit reply and tell us your opinion --
please.
Have a great
week!
Warmly,
Sobem
